the grinder attachment is from a friend that homebrews with me. it is nothing more then a garbage disposer the he couldn't install in his house because of plumbing so he lent it for the cause. it is a half horse stainless chamber. apple/pear killer. the down pipe is just the right height to put a bucket with a mesh bag in to catch all the pulp that is being spit out of the pipe.

Manual scratter Recommended to be paired with 12L manual press. Place the manual scratter ontop of the press and mill the apples directly into the barrel. Apples may need to be cut before they are placed in the chute. If you experince a hard to crush apple we recomend turning the wheel the anticlockwise one-two turns then trying again.

I purchased this unit after having used my own home made scratter mill for a few years as a proof of concept. First off the good points. The unit is solidly made and good quality overall, especially the feed hopper and motor assembly. The resulting apple pomace produced is a fine uniform size and gives an excellent juice yield when pressing.
