Comparing the obtained results for the reactions using classical heating and ball milling, we noticed practically similar yields for both methyl and ethyl 2,6′ derivatives. However, using the ball mill allows only one fluorescent product B to be obtained because of the mechanical force, which indicates the high selectivity of the reaction.
